Rhodesology Mini Camp: CNC/CAD/PLC Bootcamp
Do you have a knack for taking machines apart to see how they work or tinkering with tools and mechanical components to make your own inventions? Are you interested in learning how to make computer drawings used in mechanical and industrial engineering? Ever wonder how computers are used to control manufacturing processes like assembly lines, robotic devices, and industrial machines, like grinders, lathes and routers? In this mini camp, you'll be exposed to computer-aided design to create your own 3D assembly design. You'll also learn what PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) are and how they control manufacturing processes, like robots and assembly lines. You'll then have the chance to develop and test your own PLC program. You'll also learn how industrial machines, which make metal and plastic parts, are controlled by computer numerical control (CNC) code to do so automatically. This course is offered with different material on each of the four following dates: Questions?
