The Hardin County Regional Planning Commission was awarded a grant through the Ohio Department of Agriculture to develop an updated Comprehensive Land Use Plan. To coordinate this initiative, the Economic Development Office within the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance is partnering with Regional Planning, alongside consultants from the Lima/Allen County Regional Planning Commission and the West Central Ohio Regional Planning Organization (WORPO).
This comprehensive plan will set the strategic vision for Hardin County through 2055—balancing farmland preservation, municipal infrastructure, economic development, and local quality of life.
Whether you are a lifelong resident, a business owner, a farmer, or a community leader, your feedback will directly inform county policy for decades to come.
The Hardin County Community Survey gathers direct feedback on the core issues shaping our region, including:
(Note: Focused discussions around specific housing market needs will be conducted separately through targeted Housing Focus Groups later in the planning process.)
The survey is open now to all Hardin County residents, property owners, and agricultural operators.
