About

Keeping Hardin County healthy by improving the lives of those we serve and strengthen our communities through collaborative partnerships.

- Our nurses provide immunizations to all ages, provide TB (Tuberculosis), testing, travel to various places in Hardin Co. to provide blood pressure screenings, provide lead prevention education, and serve families with children that meet the criteria to participate in The Children with Medical Handicaps program. For families that are experiencing financial hardship and that are in need of a crib for their baby, they can contact one of our nurses to inquire about receiving a crib through our Cribs for Kids program.

- Our Environmental Health staff provide food, campground, swimming pool, well and septic system inspections, nuisance complaint investigations, animal bite investigations, tattoo facility inspections, and answer calls and emails about them, as well as other environmental health concerns.

- Through our Ohio Buckles Buckeyes program our certified Child Passenger Safety Technician can help people install car seats. Our health dept. has a variety of seats available for WIC and Medicaid eligible families.

- We offer Naloxone and fentanyl test strips free of charge to the public.

- The community can purchase birth records from any vital statistics office regardless of where the birth event occurred in Ohio, (Exception: sealed adoption records may only be obtained from the state office of Vital Statistics in Columbus, OH.) You can obtain death certificates from the county vital statistics office where the event occurred.
