About
As a YWCA organization, we’re passionate about helping women, children, and their families.
The YWCA Child Care Resource and Referral, also called YWCA CCR&R, provides a wide range of services to parents and family members who are seeking child care. Our team assists parents and family members in locating quality child care that meets their specific needs. We also assist families by offering information on what high-quality child care programs look like and the quality indicators they should look for when visiting child care programs and facilities.
Helping families with the everyday challenges of caregiving, our YWCA Child Care Specialists share knowledge and strategies on a variety of child development and parenting topics, such as how to reduce behavior challenges, bedtime rituals and stress-free shopping with your child.
In addition to serving families, our goal is to help child care professionals gain new skills and education to enhance the quality of their programming. We host conferences and events year-round to foster skills and offer professional development opportunities for early education and child care professionals. Our team provides technical assistance for child care providers and coordinates initiatives that impact child care programs.
YWCA CCR&R collaborates with local community organizations developing direct support services and programs that affect children, families, and early childhood education professionals.
We gather data and advocate on behalf of children and families on relevant public policy issues. For employers, we offer support services for employees through consultation on child care location services, food and financial resources and caregiver workshops.
