Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance Announces New Director of Chamber and Tourism


The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance announces the selection of Deb Phillips as Director of Chamber and Tourism. Phillips is a graduate of The Ohio State University Central Ohio Technical College in Newark, Ohio, and holds associates’ degrees in Applied Science Computer Programming and Applied Science Business Management. She has professional experience in fields of agriculture and manufacturing, and as the Keep Hardin County Beautiful Program Manager. Phillips resides on a farm outside Kenton with her husband, and has three adult children.


In her role as Director of Chamber and Tourism, Phillips will be responsible for organizing programming and benefits for Alliance members, attracting and retaining memberships, planning events, collaborating with other organizations, and promoting a positive business climate in Hardin County. She will also work to promote Hardin County to attract visitors to the area.


Holli Underwood, President and CEO of the Alliance, said, “We are excited to have Deb on board with us, and we look forward to the positive impact her energy and enthusiasm will bring to the Chamber and Tourism role. Her professional experience and her knowledge of the Hardin County area will be great assets in serving our organization and our members.”


Phillips has joined the Alliance following the departure of Morgan Ellis, former Director of Chamber and Tourism, who resigned the position to pursue a career in law.


The HCCBA serves all of Hardin County in four divisions, including Economic Development, Community Development, Chamber of Commerce and Tourism. The mission of the HCCBA is to cultivate, promote and advocate to make Hardin County a great place to live, work and prosper.
