It was built on the lines of the Ohio and Indiana Railroad, then the Pennsylvania Railroad.  One of  the few surviving 19th century Pennsylvania passenger stations in Ohio.  In 1905, a rail speed record of more than 126 mph was set near here. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998 as the Ada Pennsylvania Station and Railroad. In addition to the train house, the Ada Depot features a caboose, historical marker, and cannon. Additional information can be found on The Historical Marker Database website: https://www.hmdb.org/m.asp?m=29014
The Ada Passenger Depot is an ideal location to enjoy a walk around the park and learn about the history. Afterwards, stop by one of Ada's local restaurants for a delicious meal and finish up the day shopping at the unique downtown shops.
